COLORADO SPRINGS — Wednesday afternoon, the Colorado Springs Police Department issued a three-part tweet addressing "misinformation regarding protests in Colorado Springs."
The tweets say that over the last few days the department has seen a lot misinformation regarding the protests in Colorado Springs and seek to provide clarification.
The tweets go on to say that no officers have been suspended for kneeling. No CSPD officer has shot any protester. Only less lethal tactics have been used. Also, lawful orders to disperse have been given only after the protests reached a violent level.
