COLORADO SPRINGS — One Colorado Springs Police Department unit is adding a new tool to their force.
The CSPD internet crimes against children unit has added 'Luna Pixel', a Labrador retriever to their team.
Luna Pixel, who is the first dog of her kind in Colorado, can sniff out electronic devices.
"When I learned about the electronic detection dog, and that was probably three or four years ago, we sought out a way to get funded for that," explained Lt. Christy Sheppard from Homeland Security Investigations.
Luna Pixel has been in training since the first of the new year.
