Cripple Creek celebrates Independence Day all afternoon and evening

CRIPPLE CREEK — The delayed Independence Day celebration is now underway in Cripple Creek with fireworks scheduled after 9 p.m. Saturday. The city said the change in date was due to a scheduling error.

The city said it is still having beer, food and live music all day until 10 p.m.

Here's the schedule of events:

Fireworks show starting at 9:30 p.m.

Free Beer Tickets from 7:00 – 8:00 pm. Limit one ticket per person, must be 21 or older to drink.

Bands from Noon – 10:00 pm

  • Noon – 4:00 pm – Spoiled Mistress
  • 6:00 – 10:00 pm – Zac Charles and the Red

Candle Making for children starting at 4:00 pm (Provided by the Little Candle CO.)

Food Trucks from Noon – 10:00 pm

  • The Goods LLC
  • Stitt Pit BBQ
  • Ono Foods
  • Grammie’s Desserts

Fresh Made Ice Cream (Provided by the Cripple Creek-Victor American Legion Post 171, Cripple Creek Elks 316, and Gold Camp Ag and Mine Museum.)
