COLORADO SPRINGS — This weekend is the annual Free Fishing Weekend sponsored by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.

For the last four years, during the first weekend in June managers coach kids on the importance of getting outdoors.

And if you don't have any fishing equipment, CPW's office in Colorado Springs can help.

"We're going to be giving away three-hundred free fishing poles to the first three hundred kids that come here, so parents bring kids. It's going to be a drive-thru, so remain in the car," said Assistant Wildlife Manager Cody Wigner.

The CPW office in Colorado Springs is on Sinton Road, near Garden of the Gods Road and I-25.

The office will be open from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday afternoon.
