LAKE GEORGE — Thanks to a donation from a non-profit, Colorado Parks and Wildlife K9 Samson recently received new body armor.

CPW said Samson received the bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from Vested Interests in K9s Inc. The vest was sponsored by Troy DeCoux and friends of Pflugerville, Texas. It is embroidered with the sentiment, "Born to Love - Trained to Serve - Loyal Always."

According to CPW, Samson is a Belgian Malinois who is certified with the National Police Canine Association for handler protection, fugitive apprehension and various wildlife species odor detection, is working hard to help protect Colorado’s natural resources and all of those who enjoy them.

Vested Interest in K9s is a 501c(3) charity located in Massachusetts whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the US.
