The Colorado Parks & Wildlife is making sure families are fully prepared for the annual free fishing wekend.
On Friday, cars were lined up, bumper to bumper, as Parks & Wildlife officials handed out fishing poles for kids, along with bait & bobbers.
"You know our connect to the outdoors now is a lot important than it ever was because it's one of the few things we can still go out and do," said Frank McGee from Colorado Parks & Wildlife. "And so I think there's a lot of people who would like to get out and try to do some stuff with their family and we're happy to try and help them do that."
You can fish anywhere in the state of Colorado this weekend without a license, but officials ask to pay attention to regulations in the area where you cast your line.
