Computer issue causes SNAP processing backlog

Some Colorado families have found themselves in a waiting game for food stamps, Medicaid, and other critical services.

The state says a computer glitch is causing delays in processing some of those monthly applications in counties statewide, and as a result some families have had to do without for several days.

In several counties, food banks and other non-profits are stepping up to fill the void.

State officials say the delays should be resolved within the next few days.
