PUEBLO — The Colorado State University System is investing big in Pueblo.

CSU Pueblo is receiving $7.8 million over the next two years, the biggest investment from the CSU System in its history.

The investment is all part of the university's Vision 2028 Project, which is meant for student advising, athletic facilities, financial aid, a downtown presence, and other projects.

"With money comes the responsibility to produce results and to invest that money real carefully, so with this I am not only thrilled but there is a responsibility to execute this and to do this very well," said CSU Pueblo President, Timothy Mottet.

The money is expected to start rolling over next January.
