COLORADO SPRINGS — The City of Colorado Springs announced Tuesday that it is launching its "Game Changer" promotion to help kids in the city play soccer for free.
The city secured grants from both Comcast and Children's Hospital in order to help get kids back on the field this spring.
"We're thrilled to be able to bring this program to our community. We were disappointed as you can imagine last year, and so we're really hopeful this spring we'll be able to get those kids back out on the field, following appropriate guidelines," Director of Parks and Rec. Karen Palus said.
As part of the program, the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum is offering free tours to kids who show up in their team uniforms.
