CSPD evacuates Platte Walmart after store receives bomb threat, deemed not credible

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Colorado Springs Police Department has evacuated the Walmart on E Platte Ave after the store received an anonymous bomb threat over the phone.

According to the department, the call came in around 12:32 p.m. After an investigation by the bomb squad, it was determined the threat was not credible and people were allowed to return to the store.

The department says they are continuing to investigate where the threat came from but there is no danger to the store at this time.
