COLORADO SPRINGS — It may be hard to believe, but the high country could see the first dusting of snow later this week.

To get ahead of the game, plow crews with Colorado Springs Public Works and Maintenance will be out this week to practice their routes.

"Seems a little odd to do it this time of year," said Operations Manager Jack Ladley. "It's going to be 80 degrees today but for us its the best time to do it because it gives us a chance to get out and do quality training."

Thursday, crews will actually run their routes so they are familiar with them once the first snowfall arrives.
