COLORADO SPRINGS — Sunday, hundreds of people flocked to downtown Colorado Springs to celebrate Pridefest.

The celebration started with a parade Sunday morning at America the Beautiful Park.

This year's theme was "Rise Up!", remembering 50 years since the Stonewall riots.

Among the attendees was Colorado Governor, Jared Polis.

"Tens of thousands of people in El Paso County just celebrating inclusiveness and showing that Colorado Springs is a place for families, regardless of what those families look like," said the Governor.

2019 marks the 29th year that Colorado Springs has hosted a pride festival.
