COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Fire Department's Heavy Rescue team and crews were able to rescue someone who was trapped in a trench Wednesday.
The department said they were able to get him out of the trench in about one hour and 30 minutes.
The department tweeted before 10 a.m. saying they were "actively working to rescue victim."

CSFD said this was a "complicated rescue" with resources used from Colorado Springs Utilities and 27 firefighters on scene. The person who was trapped is being taken to a hospital for evaluation.
