COLORADO SPRINGS — On Monday, January 11, Colorado Springs filled their District 6 vacant seat.

James "Mike" O'Malley was sworn in this week to fill the remainder of the term as District 6 City Councilman. O'Malley will finish out the term in place of Councilman Andy Pico, elected to Colorado House of Representatives in November; Pico will now be representing District 16.

In this April election, Colorado Springs will vote once again for Councilman of District 6 to determine whom will take the seat for the next four years.

Following the vote, O'Malley began his duties Monday during the work session. O'Malley also works full time as a Department of Transportation Specialist.
