COLORADO SPRINGS — A Colorado Springs car wash is showing appreciation to local teachers by offering them free washes.
Three "Water Works" car wash locations are providing free, full-service washes to teachers every Sunday through September 13.
The company wanted to thank teachers as the school year starts.
"It's gonna be extreme relief to know that my car is clean and I will probably take advantage of it the next two Sundays as well just to make sure. I wish this was something I could afford to do every week but that is just not the case on a teacher's salary, so I am extremely grateful," 5th-grade teacher Candice Green said.
The participating locations are on S. Nevada, La Montana Way, and N. Academy near the Citadel Mall.
