PUEBLO — The Colorado State Government want to make sure everyone is counted in the next census and they were in Pueblo Tuesday working to make sure that happens.
Officials were in Pueblo Tuesday getting a head start on preparing local governments for the 2020 census. This work is important not only to now how many people are in the state, but also how much the census translates to dollars for state programs.
$6 million is available to groups that want to promote the census to hard to count communities, such as people with low income or those in rural areas.
You should get your survey by next March. While many are curious about the questions asked by census personnel, take a look at the Census Bureau's FAQ on what they ask and why. https://census.gov/programs-surveys/surveyhelp.html
