CANON CITY — The Canon City government is helping out restaurants during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The government put its Cares Act Money to use by buying more than $25,000 of to-go boxes, take-out bowls, and other items that will help small restaurants transition more into carry-out service.

Fremont County recently moved to Level Orange on the COVID-19 dial and that means restaurants have to scale down to 25 percent capacity.
