DENVER (AP) — Prosecutors have charged 13 people with violating the Colorado Organized Crime Control Act after raids of the Hells Angels motorcycle clubhouse in Denver, a body shop and several tattoo parlors across the city turned up drugs and dozens of firearms.
District Attorney Beth McCann says that in addition to the organized crime charges, some of the defendants face charges of assault, kidnapping, robbery, motor vehicle theft and running a chop shop. The defendants’ arrest warrants have been sealed.
The investigation started in June, and federal and state authorities conducted a series of early morning raids Nov. 7. They seized dozens of firearms in addition to methamphetamine, cocaine, cash, passports and other items.
Those charged range in age from 27 to 81.
No other information has been released.
