COLORADO SPRINGS — Catholic Charities along with the Salvation Army and Fuel Church have teamed up to feed those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They have created a mobile feeding program for those in our community who don't have access to hot meals.
Catholic Charities has volunteered to provide all the food, Fuel Church will be crafting the meals, and meals will be distributed from The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services Mobile Kitchen.
"So we prepared for 100 and we actually ran out of food, so we went through all the rest of the truck passing out what we could, for everybody. But, there was defiantly more demand for this, so as we continue this, we're going to be planning for more," said Capt. Caleb Fankhauser with Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army Mobile Kitchen will be at:
· Dorchester Park- 1130 S. Nevada Ave.
- Monday and Friday: 1 pm - 3 pm
- West Side Cares- 2808 W. Colorado Ave.
- Wednesday: 1 pm - 3 pm
The goal is to provide hot meals for people during the month of April.
