CAÑON CITY — A southern Colorado Police Department is trying to make sure no one is misses out on their special day because of the Coronavirus.

Cañon City Police are making the rounds throughout the city and wishing people a happy birthday.

News5 photojournalist Carl Winder followed along Tuesday as they gave birthday wishes to 6-year-old Rory.

"We know a lot of the kids are not able to have birthday parties because everyone is having to do the stay at home, so we hope this is one way we can make a difference for these kids," Sgt. Steve Huskey said.
