CAÑON CITY — The Cañon City Police Department is warning people of incorrect information about a food distribution.
Posts on social media claim there is a distribution planned for Friday, May 22, at the Colorado Territorial Correction Facility.
CCPD says there is no food distribution planned at any prison facility in Fremont County.
They believe the information came from a social media post about an event happening in Fremont County, Wyoming.
The department asks that the public not go to any Colorado DOC facilities in the county expecting to get food.
