CANON CITY — Canon City has a problem at its parks.
The police department has received complaints about illegal camping and vandalism, among other issues. Now, the department is proposing putting together a park ranger program.
"Well, it helps keep the patrol officers free for other calls for service and to hopefully do some proactive things," said Sgt. Steve Huskey.
The proposal is still in the beginning stages, so how many and what resources are needed for the program has yet to be determined.
