PUEBLO — Halloween events are taking place Saturday all across southern Colorado.

In Pueblo, the Buell Children's Museum is hosting "Puebloween" with activities for children.

At the event, children are able to make masks and decorate pumpkins and Oobleck creations that can be taken home.

The museum requires that everyone age three and up wear a mask and social distancing boxes and hand sanitizer have been set up. Only 25 individuals are allowed inside at one time.

The museum said the event is an opportunity to give kids a safe and creative outlet this Halloween.

"We feel really fortunate that we can provide a great kind of Halloween alternative and still keep our families safe," Director of Learning Chelsea Johnson said.

The Halloween activities will continue through Nov. 7, Wednesday through Saturday. There are two sessions per day, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

You can pre-register to attend at the website sdc-arts.org.
