COLORADO SPRINGS — A program designed to help those with mental health issues is considered a success after its first year.
The El Paso County Sheriff's, Colorado Department of Human Services and UC Health are using the Behavioral Health Connect program to get help for individuals with mental health issues.
Its goal is to keep them out of our courts and jails, resulting in almost 250 interventions..
They plan to expand the grant funded, five year program starting in October.
