COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs firefighters say the scene is clear after someone spotted 55-gallon drums at America the Beautiful Park and reported it as a hazmat incident Monday morning.
Firefighters determined the drums were filled with dirt and trash. CSFD said the city's street division will take them away from their current location, which was near the playground north of the park.
No one was injured and the hazmat response was quickly canceled.
