Authorities asking for information from public on Bear Creek Fire

COLORADO SPRINGS — The Colorado Springs Police Department along with numerous agencies are asking the public's help for any information regarding the Bear Creek Fire.

The fire started on Nov. 19 and has burned about 26 acres near Bear Creek Park and the surrounding neighborhoods of Electra Drive. CSPD says there were no injuries or reported property loss.

At this time, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

In cooperation with CSFD, the Regional Explosives/Arson Unit (REU), a multijurisdictional team led by the CSPD, was called in to assume responsibility for this investigation.
