PUEBLO — A new piece of art is now in downtown Pueblo.

Artist Eric McCue and the Impact Youth Initiative made a sculpture called "the Weight of Waste."

It is meant to collect water bottles and let people reflect on the amount of waste that there is in our community.

The group also hopes it inspires people to recycle.

"(I want people to) be mindful of what they are consuming, you know," said McCue. "If there is something they can use that is more reusable, such as a Nalgene water bottle or something like that. I want them to notice and use it."

The new piece can be found outside of the El Pueblo History Museum.
