COLORADO SPRINGS — Local artists can get help with the hardships caused by COVID-19.
Thanks to grants provided through the Artist's Recovery Fund, those affected can apply for assistance during Arts Month (October).
The closing of venues, cancellations of shows, and limited access to crowds has left many artists in a tough spot.
"It supports things like housing assistance, or utilities, transportation, food, things that are basic human needs," Mina Liebert with the Pikes Peak Community Foundation said.
The grant is made by the Bea Vradenburg and Pikes Peak Community Foundations.
Applications will be accepted until October 16.
