LARIMER COUNTY, Colo. – The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the woman who saw her extreme risk protection order filed against a Colorado State University officer denied earlier this month after a warrant was issued for her arrest on two felony charges, including perjury.

Larimer County District Court Judge Stephen John Jouard issued the arrest warrant for Susan Holmes, 64, on Jan. 23 for two class 4 felonies: perjury and attempting to influence a public servant.

A judge earlier this month denied her petition for the “red flag” order against the CSU police officer, who killed her son in 2017 in a shooting that was found to be justified, but county officials said they would investigate possible perjury or lying to a public servant charges because she lied on the petition, claiming to have a child with the officer.

The judge in the case denied her request for an ERPO over lack of evidence because Holmes refused to testify.

A spokesperson for the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that they were actively searching for Holmes and asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact the sheriff’s office.

The spokesperson said the charges are related to her filing and testimony on the ERPO application. The spokesperson said she would be featured in a “most wanted” bulletin to be issued on Friday.
