FORT CARSON — Fort Carson announced Monday that the Special Operations Aviation Training Battalion, U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command will be conduction noise-generating training beginning next week.

The training will start on June 15 end on June 27. It will take place throughout the Front Range, northern, and southern Colorado regions, Fort Carson said.

These dates are a change from the previously scheduled training which was to take place June 10 - 22.

During the training, noise and dust should be expected, including in the evening and throughout the night.

The Mountain Post said this training is necessary to qualify rated student pilots and non-rated crew members in multi-mode radar and mountain and desert environments so the unit is prepared for any potential mission they may be called upon to support around the globe.

Noise complaints should be directed to the Fort Carson Public Affairs Office at (719) 526-9849.
