COLORADO SPRINGS — Colorado Springs Police say 31-year-old Daniel Garcia was shot and killed while driving down Montebello Drive Monday night. While the cause and manner of death are still being determined by the coroner's office, police are handling the case as a homicide.
According to investigators, Garcia and a female passenger were heading west when an unknown suspect fired into the car. Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was not wounded.
This is the 33rd homicide in Colorado Springs for 2020.
