COLORADO SPRINGS – Traffic on West Colorado Ave. in Colorado Springs is seeing some improvement.
Work on the West Side Avenue Action Plan is still going and even with the improvement, drivers can still expect delays and heavy construction.
With the work coming along, businesses that have been disrupted during the two-year project are finally seeing finished curbs, gutters, pavement, and hope.
“They’re getting in and out a heck of a lot better in the last two weeks than they were
before, because they stopped one lane at a time, most of the time. Every once in a while you’ll have it slow down cause it’s just one lane, but now they’ve got two lanes running,” said Randy Laaming of Randy’s Barber Shop.
Most of the main roadwork on the project is expected to be finished by the end of June.
