FOUNTAIN – Local kids had a fun chance to learn to fish Saturday at Willow Springs Pond in Fountain.
The free fishing derby for kids ages 5 to 15 included demonstrations, prizes and a hotdog lunch.
Participants were asked to bring a rod, reel, and bait, but plenty of folks were on hand to help.
Officials from El Paso County Parks said along with spending time at a local park, the event brings families together for a fun outdoor experience.
