Snow creates low visibility, hazardous road conditions in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS – A heavy band of snow is causing some slick conditions for the Tuesday morning commute.

Conditions are expected to improve quickly later in the day, with highs in the 50s. Click here to view today’s forecast.

We’re tracking the latest crashes and road conditions in the Colorado Springs area in a running blog below:


7:20 a.m.

We’re hearing reports of multiple crashes on the east side of Colorado Springs, as the heavy snow band continues to move out of town.

There is at least one crash on Constitution Avenue and multiple along Highway 24. Be careful! Many of these wrecks are slide-offs.


6:57 a.m.

Crash reported near Cimarron on SB I-25. The crash has been moved to the shoulder. Expect delays on I-25 in Colorado Springs.


6:54 a.m.

CSP is at the scene of a crash at Highway 115 and Titus Boulevard. Blockage is unknown.


6:50 a.m.

CDOT traffic cameras show snow covering lanes of Highway 24 along Ute Pass and portions of I-25 in Colorado Springs. There is also low visibility due to the heavy snow in the area.
