LA JUNTA – Firefighters from multiple agencies worked to put out a “heavily-involved structure fire” at the East Otero School District Maintenance building early Tuesday morning.
Firefighters posted on Facebook at 5:20 a.m. that the fire is out. Cheraw, Rocky Ford and La Junta firefighters all worked to put out the fire, which was reported at 3 a.m.
Firefighters are asking people to avoid the area if possible. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
