COLORADO SPRINGS — Hummingbirds are beginning to again appear in southern Colorado and one of them needed rescue this week.

Colorado Parks and Wildlife say the ruby-throated hummingbird was found on a sidewalk in Colorado Springs and appeared to be dazed as if it had flown into something and injured itself.

The tiny bird was quickly rushed to a rehabilitation facility to be evaluated and treated.
