PUEBLO – The Pueblo Police Department said officers broke up a fight in the street between a man and a woman who were not wearing pants early Friday morning.

Pueblo police Captain Tom Rummel tweeted that officers arrested a man wanted on a no-bond nationwide extradition warrant after they responded to the call around 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of Stone Avenue and Mesa Avenue.

Police said that the two ran away when officers arrived. They weren’t able to find the woman, but they found the man after he jumped into the Bessemer Ditch.

Rummel tweeted “Apparently realizing this was a bad idea, he climbed back out again.” That’s when officers took him into custody.

Officers couldn’t find the woman, but she’s described by police as “5’3, 150 lbs., long dark hair, dark-colored top, no pants.”

Suspect names have not yet been released.
