PUEBLO COUNTY – Pueblo County detectives arrested a man for having 26 more marijuana plants than legally allowed in a garage at a Pueblo West home Tuesday.

Authorities arrested 32-year-old Daniel Vilallonga after finding a total of 38 plants in a home in the 200 block of Sifford Court, which is located next to the Desert Hawk Golf Course. Deputies also said they found evidence indicating he was trying to expand the grow. According to deputies, he said he was growing the plants for medicinal purposes.

Vilallonga was also arrested on suspicion of three counts of possession of a weapon by a previous offender and being a special offender.

He was booked into the Pueblo County jail Tuesday.
