COLORADO SPRINGS – If heading to the US Air Force Academy today be aware there is a base-wide exercise underway which will impact travel times at the gates.
The Academy remains open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with access through the North Gate at exit 156 from I-25. Don’t forget to bring a valid photo ID, vehicle registration, and proof of auto insurance for review by security personnel before entering the grounds.
Details on the types of activities planned are not available, yet you should be prepared to witness emergency drills and related response.
