PUEBLO – If you’re planning to do some spring cleaning, the Southside Landfill in Pueblo is holding a special discount day event in early May.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. It costs $4.25 per car or truck for Pueblo city residents. Residents will be required to provide proof of residence, which includes a valid ID showing a city address or a matching name on a current utility bill.

All trailer loads must be covered and secured to receive 40% off of gate rate. All uncovered loads will be charged double the gate rate, and could be subject to traffic fines from local law enforcement. You can cover loads with a tarp to comply with the rule.

Trucks and trailers full of waste will pay the $4.25 fee, but they’ll have to pay a discounted waste disposal fee, which is a minimum of $26.

The following materials will not be allowed:

  • Tires
