PUEBLO – Sheriff Kirk Taylor speaking on the sudden death of Detective Greg Drake, who passed away unexpectedly April 14th.
Sheriff Taylor believing Drake passed away from natural causes at age 50.
Taylor saying Drake, a nine-year veteran of the force, was loved around the office along with being a valuable resource to the department.
“He was recognized throughout this area of Colorado as one of the premier juvenile or child sex assault investigators. And, so he prided himself on putting those defendants away for a long time so they couldn’t hurt kids anymore” Taylor commented on Drake’s work with Pueblo Police.
A memorial service for Drake is planned. Details have not been released at this time.
