COLORADO SPRINGS – A nonprofit advocating for people with disabilities is hosting a “spring break” for caregivers on Friday in Colorado Springs.

The Arc of the Pikes Peak Region is teaming up with other groups to offer free services like facials, and also connecting caregivers to other respite services in the area.

“They don’t get enough credit and we really wanna make a special yet accessible event for them to come to,” said Shelbi Lowery, the group’s outreach specialist.

The event will take place at the Arc building on Meade Avenue. It’ll start at  4:00 p.m. and wrap up closer to 7:00 p.m.
