FOUNTAIN – Fountain Police are starting a program to help families with members who may wander off.

The ‘Home Safe’ program targets families with members who have autism, down syndrome, dementia, and other disorders.

The super simple program is just a packet with information that can save lives.

“If we have information on that person, it really assists our officers with being able to locate them,” said Safety Information Officer, Lisa Schneider. ” If there are certain triggers that they have, if it is something that they’re attracted to.”

If you would like a packet for your family, they are available at the Fountain Police Department or on the department’s website.
