“We hope everyone will ‘excuse our dust’ while we complete this project to enhance the visitor experience and meet the demands of increased visitation at Garden of the Gods Park,” Karen Palus, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Director, said.

The project will increase the number of restrooms from four to 13.

The number of restrooms will triple and we will be able to provide an elevated overlook area to serve as an excellent gathering place,” Palus said.

The $1.2 million project is funded by The Garden of the Gods Foundation, the Trails, Open Space and Parks Tax and the Lodgers and Automobile Rental Tax.

Construction is expected to last through the summer.
