CSPD investigating three armed robberies believed to be connected

COLORADO SPRINGS – Just before 4 a.m. Saturday morning, CSPD officers from the Sand Creek Division were dispatched to a convenience store in the 3800 block of Astrozon Blvd. for a reported robbery.

CSPD said their investigation revealed that three men armed with handguns entered the store and demanded cigarettes and money from the clerk. They were last seen leaving on foot heading south.

Approximately 20 minutes later, a personal robbery was reported in the 4800 block of Ridenour Dr. Durng this incident, the victim was struck with a pistol, according to CSPD.

Then, approximately 10 minutes after that robbery, another robbery was reported at a convenience store in the 1400 block of N. Academy Blvd. During this robbery, armed suspects took beer and money from the clerk, according to CSPD.

The department said that at this time it is believed the robberies are related due to vehicle and suspect descriptions.

CSPD said the injuries from the personal robbery were minor and did not require medical treatment.
