COLORADO SPRINGS – El Paso County Public Works says all lanes of Academy Blvd. are now open after crews finished repair work on a large hole in the road. The sinkhole opened Thursday on the bridge at the intersection of Academy and Bradley Road.
Public Works crews originally thought paving would not take place until Monday but were able to complete the repairs Friday.
County Crews had to dig out an area through all three lanes of South Academy to inspect the area, then fill the hole with a concrete mixture before paving over the hole.
