COLORADO SPRINGS – Police said they are investigating a fatal shooting that happened on a street just east of UCCS Wednesday night as a homicide.
Just before 6:30 p.m., CSPD responded to the 1800 block of Rimwood Dr. on a reported shooting.
When officers arrived, they located an adult male near the street with an apparent gunshot wound. The Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to the scene and confirmed the man was dead.
Police have not made any arrests in connection to the shooting, nor have they named any suspects.
The CSPD Violent Crimes Section responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation.
