ASPEN – Following the numerous avalanches the Colorado high country saw this month, clean up could last well into the summer.
The US Forest Service said that some trails in the Aspen area may not open until well into summer if they even open at all.
The heavy snowpack and avalanche debris are making clean up efforts difficult.
One of the biggest questions exists for Conundrum Trail, which is buried under 40 feet of snow.
