COLORADO — The multi-state Powerball jackpot continues to climb now surpassing an estimated half a billion dollars in Wednesday’s upcoming jackpot.
There wasn’t a jackpot winner in last Saturday’s drawing, but a Coloradan did get a fairly large prize, purchasing a $50,000 winning ticket at an Alta Convenience store in Grand Junction.
At the current level the climbing jackpot will be the 8th largest grand prize in the game’s history with an estimated lump sump of $335 million.
The last Powerball jackpot winner was a New Yorker who won $298.3 million on December 26th.
The next drawing will be Wednesday, March 20th at 8:59 p.m.
