COLORADO SPRINGS – An elderly woman from Colorado Springs who was involved in a car crash last Tuesday has died from her injuries.
On March 12, Colorado Springs police were on the scene of a two-car crash beneath the overpass at the intersection of North Union Blvd. and Austin Bluffs Parkway.
Officers determined that a Dodge van, driven by 91-year-old Alberta Lou Davis, was traveling north when she crossed over into the turning lane on Union Blvd, hitting a Ford pickup truck that was waiting to turn left.
The other driver was not injured but Davis was taken to the hospital for her injuries.
On Sunday, Davis died due to injuries she suffered in the crash.
After this deadly crash, the total number of traffic-related deaths in Colorado Springs so far this year stands at eight. This time last year, there were also eight traffic fatalities.
